New K-5 Report Cards

Strong partnerships between home and school are a critical part of children's education. Being well informed allows parents to better support their child's continued growth. Our new report card is designed to fulfill this goal.

These report cards were generated by Yorktown's administrators and teachers with input from our parent representatives on the building teams. Many prototypes and current research were used in the decision making process. Our Board of Education members had several discussions regarding their content as well. It was, indeed, a collaborative effort.

At several points in the year, these report cards will provide detailed information regarding each child's progress toward achieving Yorktown's Performance Standards and about his or her personal and social development.
