Construction Updates
October 26, 2004
At a special meeting of the Board of Education of the Yorktown Central School District on Monday, October 25, 2004, the Board of Education unanimously voted to delay construction to the roof on the Brookside Elementary School pending a report from an outside, independent consultant. The action by the Board of Education stems from construction difficulties experienced during the roofing system work. Also, at the meeting, the Board of Education unanimously voted to authorize an analysis of the roofing system by Perkins Eastman, the independent consultant. Perkins Eastman is expected to complete and present its analysis of the roofing system to the Board of Education within seven to ten days. The action by the Board of Education is intended to prevent any possible adverse effects to the educational program provided at Brookside Elementary School. Gordon A. Bruno Superintendent of Schools |
