The Brookside Health Office is open and available to all students every day. There is a full time nurse in each of the Yorktown Schools. Many boys and girls visit the nurse when they are not feeling well or become injured in school. Some visit daily for medication.
Children who are late sign in here and are given a pass to their class. Attendance is recorded here.
This office is also a place where students health is monitored. There are many tests and assessments done throughout the year. Some of them are vision and hearing tests, height and weight measurements, head lice checks, and physical assessments.
By the end of the school year, every student has visited with the nurse at least once to keep track of their growth and development.
