Listed below are the five challenges discussed in the presentation:

 

1. Look for the best in others: Eliminate Prejudice

 

2. Dare to Dream:  Keep a journal

 

3. Choose positive Influences: Input determines output

 

4. Kind Words and Actions: Huge Results

 

5. Start a Chain Reaction with Family and Friends

 

Review the list of challenges and respond to the following questions:

 

1.     Which of the five challenges impacted you the most?

 

2.     Which of the challenges seems most attainable for you?

 

3.     How can you put the words of the challenge into action?  What can you do in your circle of friends?  Your family?  Your school?  Your community?  Your world?

 

4.     Define what a chain reaction is and how it works.

 

ASSIGNMENT:  Choose a challenge and think about how you can do something in our school to create a chain reaction.  On the chain link provided for you in English class, write your name and your plan of action to start our own chain reaction.

After watching the presentation, write down your initial feelings and responses to what you saw and heard.  Which part of the assembly impacted you the most?  What responses and feelings did the presentation elicit in you?  What were the major points that stick out in your mind from the presentation?
