The Enrichment
Center offers after-school programs for students in grades K-5.
There is also a morning and afternoon program for children in K.
The First Nighters
is organized to support and encourage programs in the performing arts
and to provide cultural enrichment for students in all of the schools
in the district. The First Nighters sponsor a Performing Arts Recognition
Awards Night, and also recognize outstanding seniors at Senior Awards
Night.
The Science Research
Foundation for Yorktown High School Students is a new organization
whose goal is to provide support for students who participate in the
Science Research Class. The Foundation plans to provide in-school
seminars and informal mentoring opportunites, help to defray ancillary
costs of the program, create mentor and alumni databases, and champion
the program in the community and beyond.
The mission of The Foundation
for Excellence in Yorktown Education is to fund or seek funding
for innovative, supplementary and enriching educational programs which
benefit children in the Yorktown Central School District which would
not otherwise be funded due to budgetary constraints.
The Yorktown Huskers Sports Club,
Inc. ("The Huskers") comprises parents and other supporters
of the student-athletes and the athletic programs of Yorktown High
School. The Huskers Club supports all sports teams of Yorktown High
School, not any one specific sport.
