The Yorktown Central School District is located in Yorktown Heights, a community in northern Westchester County, NY. It serves 4000 students in the communities of Yorktown, Cortland and New Castle.

The district consists of six schools:
two K-2 primary schools; Mohansic School & French Hill School,
two 3-5 elementary schools; Brookside School and Crompond School,
Mildred E. Strang Middle School for grades 6-8 and
Yorktown High School from grades 9-12
