Recently, students from the YHS Life Skills Class and Operation Grace clubs joined with third grade students at Mohansic Elementary School to weed, plant and mulch a lovely border garden. See them in action:
Congratulations to Linus Hamann, Miwa Wenzel and Tanvi Tiwari (pictured left to right) who each won a silver medal in their categories at the International Sustainable Project Olympiad (ISWEEP) in Houston, Texas!  

From May 3-6, 2012, during the world’s largest international science fair for projects focusing on sustainability, the International Sustainable World (Energy, Engineering and Environment) Project Olympiad, (ISWEEEP), three students from Yorktown High School’s science research program won silver medals and scholarships valued at $600.00 each.  See Yorktown Patch story!
